About YABC at Prospect Heights High School

Our classes are in person with some opportunity for hybrid learning scheduled after 4pm, Monday - Thursday
Every regular YABC student is assigned to a counselor to receive individual socio emotional support and postsecondary planning supports
Every regular YABC student part time or full time, is eligible to participate in the Learn to work internship program, where they are paid $15 per hour.

To be eligible for our full-time program, students must meet the following criteria:

Be at least 17.5 years old.
Be in the 4th or 5th year of high school or more.
Have accrued at least 10 credits
Each student is required to submit the following documents:
Y1-Y2 Forms (Guidance counselor fills this out)
Most recent transcript (Guidance counselor can send this)
Immunization Record (Guidance counselor can send this)
Attendance record
Updated IEP (If applicable)
Current ENL Score (If applicable)

To be eligible as a shared YABC instruction student (part-time), students must:

Attend your day school and are at least a Sophomore, Junior or Senior.
You must submit your S1-S2 Forms, prepared by the guidance counselor.

Students who wish to stay in their current school but are behind in credits and want to catch up should check out SHARED INSTRUCTION- If you plan to do shared instruction please have your Guidance Counselor fill out the S1 and S2 forms.
